It’s no coincidence our label name begins with “Art”. We stand by the quality standards that earned the label cult status, be it in artist & event managment, mastering services or graphic and web design. We do not compromise and present only the very best artists in Hardtechno and Industrial and Techno. Our artists have played on nearly all major Techno festivals in Europe. A brief history of the label: 
Artillery was founded in 2002 by DJ Amok out of frustration over the fact that there was no active German label for Hard Techno. Thoughtfully choosing the label name “Artillery”, he set out to prove that Hard Techno could be more than overpitched drumloops, which was the general conception at the time. In fact, every distributor turned down the label, and he sold the first pressing of his Nightmare [Artillery 001] release directly to an online vinyl shop. One week later the shop called him and told him to press at least twice more. Nightmare reached #1 in the sales charts of several online shops and held it for weeks, only to be replaced by another Hard Techno record (OBI- Gehörsturz). The sound had struck a nerve and the scene was born.
Naturally, distributors soon realized there was money to be made and new labels sprouted like weed. During the years and commercialization that followed, Artillery retained its top position as the one label where DJs knew they could find the original Hard Techno sound, without any bootlegs, looped vocals or any of the other trends that came and went. Each vinyl is unique and memorable.
The same can be said for the sublabel Crowbar Recordings, which was founded in 2004. Designed for “rough cuts” Crowbar had no style limitations and featured a variety of artists and styles ranging from Techno to Hardcore, Electro, Breaks and some obscure tracks, which can’t be classified. In 2006, Amok and longtime partner in crime ViperXXL decided to take things one step further and founded the agency Artillery Bookings. Although originally a side project for the label, Artillery Bookings has grown to be the premier address for Hardtechno DJs. While health problems forced Amok to lay low in 2009, he quietly prepared the next move.
Always on the lookout for great talent, Artillery joined forces with Austrian label Connect2 in 2010, to present some of the finest new names in Techno. Artillery has also begun promoting events in selected locations.
